Meet Cameron
Senate President Cameron Henry is currently serving in second term as the State Senator for District 9. His district covers Jefferson Parish and includes Old Metairie, Old Jefferson and Airline park.
He currently serves on the following Committees:

Prior to serving as a State Senator, Henry served in the Louisiana House of Representatives. He represented the 82nd District for 12 years - being elected to his first term in 2008. During his time in both chambers of the legislature, Cameron has proven to be a common-sense conservative voice and a prudent public servant.

Cameron graduated from Jesuit High School in 1992. In August of 1997 he graduated from LSU with a degree in Political Science and received his MBA from Tulane in Finance and Management in May of 2004. While working on his MBA, he served as the Legislative aide to Steve Scalise.
In July of 2006 he completed the Executives in State and Local Government at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. In 2014 he was selected by the Washington Post as the Top 40 under 40 in the country. In December of 2016 he was selected by the Times Picayune as the third most influential elected official in Louisiana.

He is married to Jamie Domilise Henry and they have 4 children.
